In this role you will be responsible for driving key technology strategy priorities including but not limited to: technical architecture standards and best practices, IT governance policies and standards, application portfolio stewardship as well as emerging technology evaluation and analysis to support our Application Development efforts. This position requires a skilled individual who understands how to effectively use both emerging and established technologies to support a variety of use cases that support BBH's business goals. The candidate will work across the firm to drive the definition of technology strategy, IT governance processes, strong architectural principles, and organizational impact of incorporating AI/ML capabilities into solutions.</p> <p>Some of your key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Create and manage policies, standards, best practices as well as reference architecture guidance </li><li>Drive IT strategic objectives, including effective adoption of Cloud and DevOps processes and toolsets </li><li>Work with various stakeholders across our Change, Run and Protect pillars to improve the overall efficacy of cross-functional IT efforts using a combination of technical aptitude and leadership skills. </li><li>Manage vendor engagements for tool analysis, POCs, roadmap definition, and program execution </li><li>Provide technical leadership on best practices for chosen architecture and technology </li><li>Conduct technical research and provide recommendation as required, define the recommended technology stack for the capability and continuously align with latest industry standards and practices </li><li>Communicate efficiently within and outside the team </li><li>Assist in the hiring process of qualified personnel </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Computer Science degree or similar in a related field </li><li>Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Enterprise Architect/Solution Architect role </li><li>Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a software engineer and/or technical architect </li><li>Experience supporting strategic technology initiatives and programs in the financial services industry </li><li>Strong technology background, hands-on experience in software development </li><li>Able to distill complex ideas into defined, executable implementation options </li><li>Proven track record in designing large scale distributed systems with Java technologies </li><li>Experience with microservices architectures, DevSecOps pipelines and other modern software development techniques and patterns </li><li>Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure preferred), containerization (OpenShift preferred) </li><li>Experience presenting complex technology concepts to senior executives </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to negotiate </li><li>TOGAF or other enterprise architecture framework experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>$120,000 - $160,000</p> <p>BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations.
