<p>Overview/ Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Sev1Tech is seeking a Network Communications Engineer to support a Technical Area (TA) within the Boulder TAP Lab for OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) systems.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support network design and O&M for OPIR and national security space missions.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with infrastructure lifecycle management, including change control and configuration tracking.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with tenants and external providers on outages, upgrades, testing, and risk mitigation.</p> </li><li> <p>Help translate mission needs into technical requirements and actionable plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in status reporting, impact analysis, and configuration audits.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with cross-functional teams to implement secure, resilient infrastructure.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with TS/SCI security and accreditation standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary: $180,000 - $195,000 DOE</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in network communications engineering within complex or classified environments</p> </li><li> <p>Proven expertise serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including tenants and external communications providers</p> </li><li> <p>Experience supporting and managing:</p> </li><li> <p>Network outages, upgrades, testing, and incident resolution</p> </li><li> <p>Risk assessment, mitigation planning, and impact analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Change control and configuration management</p> </li><li> <p>Physical configuration audits and status accounting</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of DoD IT compliance standards, including DoD 8140</p> </li><li> <p>One or more of the following certifications (Required - DoD 8140 Compliant):</p> </li><li> <p>Security+</p> </li><li> <p>CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)</p> </li><li> <p>CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)</p> </li><li> <p>SCCP+ or equivalent (DoD 8140 baseline certification)</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and reporting skills </li><li>Ability to work independently in high-stakes or mission-critical environments </li></ul> <p>About Sev1Tech LLC</p> <p>Welcome to Sev1Tech!
