The Plainville Public Schools is a vibrant student centered community, serving students in grades PK-6 in our two elementary schools. The District takes great pride in our inclusive environment, in our evolving MTSS model, in our newly developed specialized programs, and in our commitment to supporting the whole child. The Director of Student Services ensures that all students can access the curriculum and participate in the school community. The Director is responsible for developing, implementing, supervising and evaluating all programs, policies and services within the department of student services. These programs and services include specialized instruction, extended school year, grant writing, related therapies, assessments and evaluations, program reviews, counseling, nursing, home hospital services, out of district placements, McKinney Vento services, specialized transportation, and pre-school education. The Director of Student Services supervises and evaluates faculty and staff members as assigned, and is also the district's liaison to various outside organizations, educational collaboratives, and service providers. The Director of Student Services reports to the Superintendent of Schools.
