<p>Schedule</p> <p>Full Time: 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday Day Shift; On Site</p> <p>General Summary</p> <p>Coordinates the oncology treatment scheduling process and manages the day-to-day activities of the overall treatment schedules. Facilitates the efficient and effective use of resources surrounding oncology treatment by accurate and timely scheduling of treatment modalities according to policies, procedures, and guidelines.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Supportive of meetings with a multidisciplinary team to increase efficiency of the oncology scheduling practices. </li><li>Coordinates and manages the day-to-day activities of the oncology overall treatment schedules, including coordinating outpatient procedures. </li><li>Coordinates and schedules oncology treatments and verifies authorization prior to scheduling. </li><li>Facilitates creation of oncology schedules to maximize efficiency by scheduling physicians and treatments appropriately. </li><li>Performs necessary conflict checks, consistently intercepts potential scheduling conflicts, and independently works to resolve them, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team as needed. </li><li>Demonstrates a working knowledge of oncology treatment documentation, supply nomenclature, and inventory management. </li><li>Exhibits excellent customer service while being able to multitask under pressure. </li><li>Provides consistent high quality of service to patients, staff, physicians, physician offices and visitors. </li><li>Makes, reschedules, and cancels appointments, understanding the unique scheduling needs in the department so that patient access is optimized. </li><li>Provides feedback on workload, scheduling issues, and refinements to the management team on an ongoing basis. </li><li>Acts as a liaison and resource for internal and external departments and staff for treatment scheduling. </li></ul> <p>Common Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Always adheres to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance. </li><li>Maintains confidential information. </li><li>Maintains professional growth and development. </li><li>Provides outstanding service to all customers, fosters teamwork and practices fiscal responsibility through accurate scheduling processes. </li><li>Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required for All Jobs:</p> <ul> <li>Performs other related duties as identified. </li><li>WellSpan Health has adopted and implemented a compliance program to support WellSpan's values and standards for professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
