<p>JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs work involving, typing, filing, entering and retrieving data in computer systems. This includes processing and entry of payments for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Provides information to the public and judges. Complies and prepares reports, tracks and processes documents. Transcribes documents from dictation.</p> <p>SALARY: $21.55 per hour</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Answers the telephone and interacts with the public and responds to inquiries about policies, guidelines, procedures, case status and courtroom assignments or forwards the request to appropriate personnel. </li><li>Compiles information and prepares basic narrative and statistical reports on a periodic basis or as requested by the deputy trial court administrator, trial court administrator or judge. </li><li>Enters and retrieves information utilizing a computer database system in order to update records, process transactions or respond to requests for information. </li><li>Maintains alphabetic and/or numeric files to documents can be filed and retrieved in an orderly fashion. </li><li>Maintains supply inventory and orders office supplies and court forms as necessary. </li><li>Assists with scheduling reservations for meetings, travel, facility usage or other events. </li><li>Compose routine correspondence under general direction of the deputy trial court administrator or trial court administrator. Utilizes dictation equipment in order to transcribe correspondence and/or judges decisions. </li><li>Interact with staff, elected officials and the general public in person or by telephone in order to respond to inquiries, receive complaints and resolve problems. </li><li>Assist in other areas of the 22nd Judicial Circuit as directed by the deputy trial court administrator or trial court administrator. </li><li>Assists the jury commission. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED; and, </li><li>Two to three years of clerical experience which involved interacting with the public to </li><li>disseminate information; or, </li><li>Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, </li><li>skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>3 Medical plans, 2 dental plans, and 2 vision plans to choose from. </li><li>Pension: Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) </li><li>Nationwide Retirement Solutions (457 and Roth457) plans </li><li>Standard Life insurance policy with the option to buy up additional coverage for EE and dependents. </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement and Student Loan Repayment Programs </li><li>Paid vacation, sick, personal days and 14 paid holidays. </li></ul> <p>Must be able to successfully pass a background screening.</p> <p>McHenry County is an equal opportunity employer.
