<p>Summary:</p> <p>This position is in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences. The position is a full-time (9-month) non-tenure-track position in the Department of English and Modern Languages.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach undergraduate courses in Spanish. </li><li>Participate in the activities of the department, college, and university including recruitment and new course development. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Spanish, Spanish Education, or a related field. </li><li>Proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) </li><li>At least one (1) year to three (3) years of teaching experience at the college level - Spanish courses. </li><li>Must have evidence of excellence in teaching. </li><li>Experience in teaching elementary and intermediate language courses. </li><li>It is highly desirable that candidates be familiar with innovative teaching techniques and best practices in pedagogy. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellence oral and written communication skills </li><li>Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level </li><li>Demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with university colleagues within a diverse environment. </li><li>Program development </li><li>Ability to be adaptable, collegial, and dedicated to student centered and intensive teaching. </li></ul>
