Responsibilities include performing deliveries, gynecologic procedures, ED coverage, midwife backup services, and antepartum/postpartum rounding. The Laborist also provides care for unassigned OB/GYN patients presenting to the Emergency Room and supports the antenatal service as needed.</p> <p>Compensation Pay Range:</p> <p>$153.00 - $200.00</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Clinical Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintains continuous in-house presence and availability to the Birthing Unit throughout the entire assigned shift </li><li>Functions as an integral member of the health system OB team, providing coverage and collaborative support </li><li>Performs deliveries, including both vaginal and cesarean births, and performs and assists with gynecologic procedures as indicated </li><li>Provides backup support for certified nurse midwives and advanced practice providers as needed </li><li>Conducts antepartum and postpartum patient rounds </li><li>Evaluates and manages unassigned OB/GYN patients presenting to the Emergency Department </li><li>Responds to consult requests for OB or ED patients across the health system </li><li>Serves as first assistant to other physicians upon request </li></ul> <p>Technology and Professional Development</p> <ul> <li>Participates in ongoing education and demonstrates a willingness to learn and apply new technologies and clinical procedures relevant to the role </li><li>Embraces and effectively utilizes technological tools that support efficient and accurate communication across the care team </li></ul> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Medical degree (MD or DO) required </li><li>Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Certification</p> <ul> <li>Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice </li><li>Active DEA certificate </li><li>Current BLS </li></ul> <p>Per Diem</p> <p>Responsibilities if Required:</p> <p>Education if Required:</p> <p>License/Registration/Certification Requirements:</p>
