<p>Introduction</p> <p>THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE MDH WORCESTER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ONLY.\n\n</p> <p>GRADE</p> <p>14\n</p> <p>LOCATION OF POSITION</p> <p>MDH Worcester County Health Department\n6040 Public Landing Road\nSnow Hill, MD 21863\n</p> <p>Main Purpose of Job</p> <p>The main purpose of this full-time position will be to act as a safety net, reducing?the need for care at hospitals, inpatient facilities, detention centers, and other similar higher levels of care by managing people at the community level.?While working alongside a licensed clinical crisis professional, the selected applicant will also engage individuals?experiencing a crisis using a person-centered approach.\n\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n\n Providing Naloxone education and training to individuals and families as appropriate.\n Documenting notes and completing referrals.\n Conducting follow-up visits and phone calls.\n Identifying and reducing obstacles within the mental health system to support clients return to stability.\n\n\n\n\nThis role requires home visits, community-based services, and on-call hours. The schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays based on program needs.\n\n\nThe selected applicant must?be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.\n</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:? ?Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \nExperience: One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. \nNotes: \n1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. \n2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education. \n</p> <p>DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>The desired candidate should possess:\n\n\n Experience with assessments and diagnostic criteria.\n Prior training associated with crisis work.\n\n\n</p> <p>LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION</p> <p>THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE MDH WORCESTER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ONLY.\n\n</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS</p> <p>Applicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
