<p>Responsibilities Include:</p> <p>Helps determine work procedures, work schedules, and expedites workflow. Coordinate logistics to lead the fast pace shipping department in meeting daily customer demands by fulfilling orders on time and providing outstanding service on shipping options for the customer. Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures. Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures. This job requires the ability to operate independently with minimum supervision. Project management responsibilities include, but not limited to, warehouse space utilization, freight cost optimization, trailer utilization and driver and vendor delivery coordination. Helps communicate with warehouse personnel regarding order readiness. Works with other department staff members as required, such as customer service, sales, production, and accounting. Helps with process improvement and housekeeping. Able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Able to operate wrapping equipment when necessary. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years leadership experience in shipping environment preferred. Requires a demonstrated commitment to safety, process improvement and housekeeping. Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test. Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic. Candidates must possess advanced computer skills, and be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Previous experience in a packaging warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Fully proficient in all facets of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving and system administration.</p>
