<p>Job Description</p> <p>Objective of the Job:</p> <p>This position is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining various automation systems for coil material handling.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>1) Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed.</p> <p>2) Designs, develops, tests, and implements automation systems to ensure optimal material handling of WIP and finished coil products</p> <p>3) Coordinates with the operational teams to streamline product delivery to various production lines via automated systems</p> <p>4) Maintains and troubleshoots logistic systems to guarantee system uptime and reliability</p> <p>5) Works with coil material handling OEM's in order to resolve various system issues</p> <p>6) Maintains various servers and miscellaneous hardware related to coil material handling</p> <p>7) Supports and maintains production databases to prevent any interruptions with shipping and operations</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>1) Team player with good communication skills</p> <p>2) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field of study, or equivalent work experience</p> <p>3) Strong understanding of relational databases, stored procedures, and scheduled database jobs</p> <p>4) Knowledgeable on network infrastructure, design, and maintenance</p> <p>5) Skilled in Windows Server maintenance and troubleshooting</p> <p>6) Basic understanding of electricity and ladder logic</p> <p>7) Manufacturing background is preferable</p> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Environment is typical for a steel mill production area, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and Dusty / greasy areas. Work includes a combination of work in an office setting as well as a mill environment. This position can require long hours, weekend, and holiday coverage to support 24/7 operations.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibility:</p> <p>This position does not supervise others.</p>
