<p>Description</p> <p>Junior Accountant - Alvarez & Marsal, Inc.</p> <p>The A&M Inc. Jr. Accountant will be responsible for performing the organization's accounting functions across multiple subsidiaries. The accountant will be responsible for the full cycle accounting and reporting for A&M Inc. & select divisions, this includes all tasks from AP & Collections through Journal entry posting and Financial Statement preparation. This role reports to the Accounting Manager of A&M Inc. and will perform a variety of tasks with a wide degree of flexibility to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines.</p> <p>This is hybrid role, in office Monday - Wednesday, remote on Thursday and Friday, subject to change at management's discretion.</p> <p>How you will contribute</p> <ul> <li>Balance Sheet Account reconciliations for multiple entities </li><li>Process and record all income and expense Journal entries </li><li>Data entry: Allocations, ERP Uploads, reclasses </li><li>Intercompany Accounting: ensure that all activity is correctly posted between entities and balance-sheet accounts reconcile </li><li>Produce monthly Cash flow forecast for assigned entities </li><li>Assist with compilation of documents for quarterly & annual tax returns </li><li>Basic understanding and ability to resolve variances in reporting </li><li>Treasury functions - Setting up wire and ACH payments. Positive Pay reporting </li><li>Bank reconciliations of parent company and related entity bank accounts </li><li>Assist in Internal and external audits </li><li>Special projects and reports as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in accounting </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Excel experience required i.e. basic understanding of pivot tables, vlookups, SUMIFs </li><li>Highly analytical individual who is detail oriented </li><li>Tech Savvy: Ability to comfortably utilize multiple ERPs and third-party financial software on a daily basis </li><li>Oracle Fusion and / or NetSuite experience a plus </li><li>Ability to solve variances and meet close deadlines for all entities </li><li>Excellent time management skills to keep pace with fast growing business </li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously </li><li>Experience with FX accounting and working with foreign offices </li><li>General understanding and experience with payroll accounting </li><li>Preferred industry experience in family office, real estate, entertainment, wealth management, recruiting, and legal service. </li></ul> <p>Pay Transparency</p> <p>This is a temp to perm position at an hourly rate of $33 - $35.</p> <p>Once converted to full time, the salary range is $70,000 - $75,000 annually dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program to full time employees which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.
