<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>May perform delegated tasks, under the supervision of the RN Preceptor. Promotes continuity of care by communicating with interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate. Able to work with the age specific populations according to the setting. The intern is not permitted to function independently for the primary duties listed below and is considered a technician under the supervision of the Registered Nurse preceptor.</p> <p>Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of junior year in Bachelor degree nursing program, or final semester of Associates degree program. </li><li>Relevant clinical experience obtained in nursing program. </li><li>Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date. </li><li>Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. </li><li>High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others. </li><li>Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team. </li><li>Basic computer knowledge </li><li>Knowledge of skilled nursing practices up to educational level. </li><li>Competent in basic nursing skills. </li></ul>
