<p>Position Description:</p> <p>The Lead Actuarial and Risk Analyst is responsible for leading some aspects of analytical support for actuarial financial and risk reporting, modeling and analysis, experience analysis, pricing/ product development or product management. Provides analysis and resolves complex problems / issues on a timely basis, completely, and accurately. This is a position on the Group Reporting Team, whose primary goal is to improve business decisions and customer experience by enhancing access to consistent, quality data.</p> <p>At Ameritas, fulfilling life is what we do daily. When lives are fulfilled, our mission is fulfilled.</p> <p>Position Location:</p> <ul> <li>This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home. </li></ul> <p>What you do:</p> <ul> <li>Create advanced data outputs in Power BI </li><li>Teach Power BI to business users of all levels </li><li>Access, retrieve and analyze data from multiple systems </li><li>Prepare and analyze materials and communicate appropriately to internal and external customers </li><li>Define and perform operational processes on a timely basis, completely, and accurately and present new process enhancements </li><li>Create and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with appropriate standards </li><li>Develop and perform calculations using complex and less defined processes or adapting new processes </li><li>Make independent decisions as a Group Data SME on small to medium cross-functional projects </li><li>Solve complex problems through creative thinking where the root issue is not readily apparent: Understand why things are connected to each other </li><li>Ability to anticipate potential problems </li></ul> <p>What you bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field required </li><li>Expertise with Power BI </li><li>Experience leading teams and/or projects </li><li>3-5 years related experience required </li><li>Intermediate knowledge of extracting data via SQL </li><li>Experience with Microsoft Excel </li><li>Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required </li><li>Extensive knowledge of Group Data </li><li>Experience working with data in Relational Databases </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <p>A meaningful mission.
