<p>Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health is currently seeking a part-time Pediatric Social Worker to join our team!</p> <p>Location: servicing Hillsborough County</p> <p>Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours per week) The specific weekdays and times to be determined. It will be between the hours of 8am-7pm (later hours are most needed).</p> <p>The Pediatric Services Social Worker:</p> <ul> <li>Qualified Social Worker responsible for assessing and intervening regarding the needs of chronically or terminally ill children and their families. </li><li>The pediatric social worker is the primary social worker for the pediatric care programs including Hospice, Perinatal Loss, and Partners In Care. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Education and/or Experience: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education </li><li>Licensure: Requires LCSW or Registered Social Work Intern </li><li>Strongly prefers 1 year of social work experience. </li><li>Previous experience working with seriously ill children preferred. Must be comfortable working with pediatrics. </li><li>Continuing Education: As required for licensure. </li><li>For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion.
