<p>Franciscan Health Crown Point</p> <p>12750 S Francis Dr Crown Point, Indiana 46307</p> <p>The Surgical Technologist performs various tasks supporting perioperative services, including preparation of operating room, transport of patients, supplies, equipment, and specimens. This position assists surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other members of an operating room team by preparing patients for their procedures, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining environmental cleanliness before, during and after surgical procedures. This position, also, provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating and passing instruments, assuring the functioning of instruments, and keeping instruments free of debris during surgical procedures. Removes equipment from surgery room and follows proper procedure to dispose of contaminated equipment and supplies.
