<p>School Mental Health Therapist or Counselor</p> <p>Schedule: Full-Time | Follows School Calendar</p> <p>Note: Summer hours may be limited or unavailable based on staffing needs and program scheduling.</p> <p>Location: Oakridge Lower Elementary - Muskegon, MI</p> <p>Hackley Community Care (HCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center committed to providing compassionate, high-quality, and integrated health services to the residents of Muskegon County. As a School Mental Health Therapist or Counselor, you'll work in a supportive elementary school environment, helping young students thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.</p> <p>Perks & Benefits Include:</p> <ul> <li>A rewarding and meaningful practice setting </li><li>Supportive, team-based work culture </li><li>Competitive compensation </li><li>Paid time off and paid holidays </li><li>Quarterly performance bonuses </li><li>Retirement plan with company contribution </li><li>Continuing education support (time & funding) </li><li>Company-paid license renewal </li><li>Potential for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) </li><li>Vendor discounts </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group counseling to children and adolescents. </li><li>Collaborate with school staff and HCC's provider team to support mental health needs. </li><li>Deliver consultation, education, and training to school staff as needed. </li><li>Coordinate behavioral and mental health services for effective care delivery. </li><li>Accurately document clinical notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system. </li><li>Offer evidence-based patient education in individual and classroom settings. </li><li>Make appropriate referrals to internal and external support services. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree from an accredited behavioral/mental health program </li><li>Active, unrestricted Michigan license as an LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP or equivalent </li><li>CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) </li><li>Experience in Play Therapy preferred, especially for elementary-aged children </li><li>Clinical experience diagnosing and treating mental health conditions </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team </li><li>Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity </li></ul>
