This includes setting the direction, developing relationships, and ensuring that the Business Banking department meets its annual business goals for loans and deposits.</p> <p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Day-to-day management of the Business Banking team. </li><li>Responsible for the business unit loan and deposit goals. </li><li>Liaison between business unit and the central underwriting group. </li><li>Continue to maintain a business banking portfolio. </li><li>Maintain individual sales goals. </li><li>All other duties of Business Banker position. </li></ul> <p>Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor' Degree or the equivalent of education and work experience. </li><li>8+ years business/commercial banking experience. </li><li>Strong management skills and the ability to motivate. </li><li>Proven sales and customer service skills with demonstrated success. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and follow-up. </li><li>Wide range of knowledge of banking, products & services and the local market. </li><li>Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. </li><li>Must be able to travel throughout defined market. </li><li>Be willing to assume any other duties as may be required </li></ul> <p>Behavioral Skills</p> <ul> <li>Consistently demonstrate behaviors associated with Brookline Bancorp's Core Four values: adaptability, accountability, leadership, and teamwork. </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position.
