<p>Acuity is seeking a Building & Grounds Intern to assist with building and grounds maintenance for Acuity properties.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Performs general building maintenance / custodial tasks including cleaning, painting, and preventative maintenance. </li><li>Maintains grounds including mowing, fertilizing, watering, turf repair, mulching, and pruning. </li><li>Plants, fertilizes, weeds and waters annual flowers. </li><li>Performs landscape construction projects including planting and transplanting trees, shrubs, and perennials. </li><li>Cleans and places interior silk plants and galleria displays. </li><li>Shovels snow. </li><li>Sets up and takes down special events including the Acuity Health Challenge, Acuity FunFest and Town Hall venues. </li><li>Regular and predictable attendance. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>High School diploma preferred.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Building and landscape maintenance experience preferred.</p> <p>OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Takes initiative.</p> </li><li> <p>Understands instruction, asks questions, and receives feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work outdoors in any type of weather.</p> </li><li> <p>Possesses a record of safe work habits.</p> </li><li> <p>Drivers License, preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Acuity does not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization.*</p> </li></ul> <p>This job is classified as nonexempt.</p> <p>For internships, Acuity offers a generous 401(k) contribution, vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and more.
