Provide emergency medical response for all Immaculata Athletic practices and games. Monitor the athletic training clinic to provide a safe and professional environment.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Responsible for the prevention, evaluation, care and rehabilitation of all athletic injuries sustained by Immaculata University student-athletes as outlined in the NATA Domains of Athletic Training below:</p> <p>Injury and Illness Prevention and Wellness promotion</p> <ul> <li>Ensuring a safe playing environment by minimizing safety hazards </li><li>Selected, fitting, and maintaining protective equipment </li><li>Conducting P.P.E's </li><li>Developing training and conditioning programs </li></ul> <p>Examination, Assessment and Diagnosis</p> <ul> <li>Understanding the pathology of injury and illness (anatomy/physiology) </li><li>Following Team Physician Standing orders </li><li>Refer to supporting services </li></ul> <p>Immediate and Emergency Care</p> <ul> <li>Recognize, evaluate, treat and refer emergency medical conditions </li><li>AED, CPR and First aid certified </li></ul> <p>Therapeutic Intervention</p> <ul> <li>Design and supervise rehabilitation programs </li><li>Incorporate therapeutic modalities </li></ul> <p>Healthcare Administration and Professional Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Record Keeping </li><li>Ordering equipment and Supplies </li><li>Implementing policies and procedures </li><li>Submitting secondary insurance claims to TPA. Providing guidance on requirements for processing. </li><li>Maintaining continuing education units </li><li>PA state licenses maintenance. Be in good standing with Pennsylvania State medical board. </li><li>Maintain Board Certification (BOC) </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Adherence to the NCAA Division III, CSAC, and Athletic Department standards. (NATA Code of Ethics) </li><li>Ensure all head coaches and appropriate staff members keep current AED, CPR, and first aid certification. </li><li>Assist the Head Athletic Trainer in the oversight of equipment and inventory management of athletic training supplies. </li><li>Perform duties of clinical preceptors to Immaculata University athletic training students </li><li>Represent the University and its athletic program, with honesty, integrity and sportsmanship at all times, to various institutional programs and students, parents, the general public, alumni and external agencies. </li><li>Develop a positive, professional relationship with faculty, staff, students, alumni and Mighty Mac Athletic Association members. </li><li>Contribute to the overall atmosphere of the department through establishing positive, team-oriented working relationships with peers and by adhering to the department's mission statement and core values. </li><li>Work with various departments and personnel at the University to aid in the development of a positive student-athlete experience. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation. </li></ul> <p>Immaculata University is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
