The capital improvement program (CIP) will be completed in conjunction with a concurrent multi-billion-dollar airport capital redevelopment program (ORD Next). All work occurs on an active airport. This position will focus primarily on administering the contract for the Quality Assurance Material Testing (QAMT) on behalf of the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA). This position provides the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team.</p> <p>This position will be as part of a joint venture team and the selected candidate will be hired by one of the JV or teaming partners.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and manage the Quality Assurance Material Testing (QAMT)contractor ensuring compliance with contract deliverables. </li><li>In conjunction with the Project Manager, enforce policies, procedures, and processes for the PMO, CMAR, and various contractors relative to the implementation of the Quality Program for CDA. </li><li>Provide oversight of specifically directed QAMT efforts, including inspection, survey, and materials testing, ensuring the agency construction manager(ACM) and CMAR enforce adherence to approved contract drawings and specifications. </li><li>Provide budgeting for anticipated QAMT efforts, including both project specific and programmatic needs. </li><li>Coordinate QAMT proposals for project QA services, working with the Project Manager to review expectations, level of effort, and overall pricing. </li><li>Assist in the review of all QAMT invoices before recommendation to CDA for approval. </li><li>Support the PMO, Project Manager and CDA in general in reviewing and resolving quality issues within the Program. </li><li>When issues are not resolved by the Project Manager at the project level, successfully coordinate issues and communications involving the overall Quality organization, including CDA , QAMT, ACM, CMAR , and Contractor organizations as necessary. </li><li>Update the Quality Assurance Manual, working with the Program and Project Management Teams as necessary. </li><li>Enforce program-wide quality documentation protocols, working with the Project Manager as necessary. </li><li>Work with the Project Manager to ensure construction quality controls and processes are contained within the contract documents. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>10+ years of experience as a QA/QC Manager on large construction projects and programs </li><li>Contract administrative experience with construction project documentation, budgeting, staff level estimating, invoicing, and auditing </li><li>Advanced knowledge of construction QA/QC codes and standards </li><li>Ability to read and understand engineering drawings </li><li>Good communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as proficiencies in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and Blue Beam. </li><li>Ability to work onsite full-time (Mon-Fri) at O'Hare International Airport with the program management team </li></ul> <p>Ideally, you'll also have:</p> <ul> <li>Certifications: CQM, CQA, etc. </li></ul> <p>Sponsorship is not available for this position.</p> <p>#EastPMCM #NorthPMCM #LI-SD2</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>150,000.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>190,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
