<p>About PPL</p> <p>Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-income individuals and families to become self-reliant through integrated services in housing, employment, and education. We believe in the power of community and the potential of every person. When joining PPL, you become a part of a diverse team whose goal is to assist our residents and communities with the groundwork they need not only to survive but also to thrive.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for planning and developing course outlines, presenting the course material to students, and evaluating the students' progress. This person should also facilitate a positive learning environment, participate as a member of the school team, build, and support the school mission and strive to maintain communication links with other agency programs and staff.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Identify, acquire, or create appropriate learning resources and develop lesson plans. </li><li>Teach classes as designated individually or as part of a team. </li><li>Vary learning materials and presentation to fit needs of students. </li><li>Develop communication with students and parents. </li><li>Participate in team effectiveness and registration process. </li><li>Adhere and enforce school's standards of behavior on a consistent basis. </li><li>Develop and implement appropriate structure, policies, and procedures. </li><li>Establish and implement appropriate social/extra curricula activities. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>Education/ Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in secondary education or equivalent </li><li>State of Minnesota Teaching License in secondary mathematics required. </li><li>Training and experience in alternative school setting preferred </li><li>Training and experience in behavior modification techniques and class management preferred </li><li>Training and experience with computers preferred </li><li>Experience working with diverse at-risk youth population </li><li>Training and experience in team teaching </li><li>Training and experience in assessments and testing </li><li>Training and experience with school-to career programs preferred </li><li>Proficient in a second language (other than English) preferred </li></ul> <p>Why You'll Love Working at PPL</p> <p>Competitive & Supportive Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Health & Dental Insurance </li><li>Employer-Paid Short- & Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>HSA or FSA Options </li><li>403(b) Retirement Plan with Employer Match </li></ul> <p>Salary: $45,000-$55,000, DOQ</p> <p>?
