<p>Under the leadership of the Central Sterile Processing Supervisor, demonstrates competency in indentification, decontamination, processing and sterilization of surgical instruments including endoscopy scopes. Has a thorough understanding of processing and sterilization of surgical instruments and endoscopy scopes. Has a thorough understanding of processing equipment, including but not limited to, sterilizers,washer decontaminators, medivators and ultra sonic cleaners following a detailed orientation.</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>High School education or equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Certification as Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) and/or Certification in Endoscope Reprocessing (CER) </li></ul> <p>LICENSE:</p> <p>PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Central Sterile Technician certification (CRCST) requirement within 12 months of hire. </li><li>Certification in Endoscope Reprocessing (CER)within 24 months of hire. </li></ul> <p>WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in sterile processing and/or previous experience processing endoscopy scopes. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Computer literacy. </li></ul>
