You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.</p> <p>A Day in the Life</p> <p>The Global Payroll & Shared Services Leader will provide payroll administration and HR support for our global business representing a workforce of 12,000 across 24 Countries</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible to build and motivate a team of payroll analysts, operations managers, and payroll vendors to ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policy and government regulations. </li><li>Create standard operating procedures for payroll administration and ensure payroll and timekeeping systems comply with company policy and all statutory requirements. </li><li>Develop strategy to drive operational performance and service excellence within the HR Shared Service team. Measure and improve performance against defined delivery and quality standards through harmonizing, automating and consolidating processes in support of HR strategic goals </li><li>Analyze, audit, reconcile, and resolve complex payroll administration and employee issues to ensure smooth payroll processing. </li><li>Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable regulations. Respond to auditing and regulatory inquiries </li><li>Research and interpret regulatory requirements and resolves tax, withholding, and garnishment issues for payroll processing. </li><li>Work with system programmers and third-party vendors to deliver payroll system solutions dependent on timekeeping, benefits and other providers </li><li>Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and pre-defined service level agreements. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Focus:</p> <ul> <li>Focus on tactical activities with broad operational impact </li><li>In order to facilitate efficient collaboration and communication globally, English proficiency is a requirement </li><li>Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practices </li><li>Experience with HR information systems and technologies </li><li>Support work through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports </li><li>Develops long term strategic relationships and alliances with key internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Strong financial acumen for strategic business alignment </li></ul> <p>This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. PR) locations (USD):$156,800.00 - $235,200.00</p> <p>This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).</p> <p>This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.</p> <p>The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).</p> <p>The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).</p> <p>The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).</p> <p>Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.
