<p>Pender Public Schools</p> <p>K-12 Physical Education Teacher</p> <p>Due to retirement, Pender Public Schools is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The District is looking for someone interested in being a full-time K-12 Physical Education Teacher. The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a physical education program to improve athletic performance, introduce lifetime activities to students, and teach lifelong fitness skills. This teacher will also be responsible for teaching a health education class and working with select junior high sports. Coaching opportunities are available but are not required to fulfill this position.</p> <p>An individual with a valid teacher's certificate or the ability to obtain one is required. Any and all endorsements can and will be considered. Teachers hired in endorsed areas are given all years of experience as allowed on the salary schedule. The school system is a P-12 district (NSAA Class C-2) with approximately 445 students and is located in Northeast Nebraska about 45 minutes from Sioux City, Iowa and 70 minutes from Omaha, Nebraska.</p> <p>The District has a tradition of academic excellence and strong extra-curricular programs.
