Please attach a resume and thoughtful cover letter on the "My Experience" page in the "Resume/CV" field.</p> <p>Active City Year Staff members must login to Workday to apply internally.</p> <p>Number of Positions: 1</p> <p>Work Location: 100% On-Site</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Impact Manager is responsible for leading a team of 6 - 12 AmeriCorps members through a full - time school - based service program with the goals of keeping students on track to graduate, establishing positive relationships with school partners and providing a leadership development experience for corps members. The Impact Manager will lead, manage, and coach a team through a 10 - month journey of learning, reflection, and service. Impact Managers report to the Impact Director and meet regularly with peers and department leadership members to share promising practices, challenges, and resources.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Service Delivery</p> <ul> <li>Lead, manage, and coach a team of AmeriCorps members to implement City Year's service model, which balances the delivery of whole-school support (Tier-1) and small group and one-on-one tutoring (Tier-2) for at-risk students at assigned Providence school. </li><li>Identify and enroll students for targeted focus support in attendance, behavior, English Language Arts, math, and afterschool. </li><li>Conduct weekly observation and coaching sessions with each AmeriCorps member to assess strengths and growth areas in their practice as tutors and mentors. </li><li>Monitor and analyze student-level data to identify trends and improve whole-school and small group support, ensuring student program completion and improvement in targeted area. </li><li>Share promising practices related to service delivery with Impact Manager peer group. </li></ul> <p>Partnership Development</p> <ul> <li>Build and cultivate a strong partnership with faculty, staff, and community at assigned Providence school. </li><li>Work with school and City Year Providence leadership members to secure, plan, and lead regular meetings throughout the year that integrate City Year as a partner and establish structured time to communicate shared goals and review progress toward goals. </li><li>Use student data strategically to gain school support for AmeriCorps member service delivery initiatives. </li><li>Coach AmeriCorps members on developing productive partnerships with school faculty, staff, and community. </li><li>Meet or exceed service partner satisfaction goals as indicated by mid and end-of-year service partner surveys. </li></ul> <p>AmeriCorps Member Development</p> <ul> <li>Lead, manage, and coach AmeriCorps member team throughout their leadership development experience. </li><li>Ensure ongoing corps member participation in and application of City Year's learning and development curriculum. </li><li>Collaborate with City Year Providence's Learning and Development Manager to assess, identify, and address AmeriCorps members' professional development needs. </li><li>Meet weekly with Senior AmeriCorps member(s) to review status of team's service delivery, service partner management, and overall leadership development experience. </li><li>Meet with each AmeriCorps member at least once/month to review individual performance and development progress. </li><li>Conduct mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews with each AmeriCorps member. </li><li>Participate in AmeriCorps Member interview and selection process. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in education or related field strongly preferred. </li><li>Experience working in a school, educational or youth-support setting required with at least 1 year in a role managing or leading others. </li><li>Experience working in areas related to English Language Arts, math, behavior management, overall school climate, afterschool programming, extended learning time or social work preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate and present ideas with clarity, credibility, humility and tact; lead with "the why" and incorporate vision into messaging; tailor messaging to audience and maintain professionalism in speaking and writing. </li><li>Proven success operating in ambiguous and changing environments with the demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize projects; delegate tasks appropriately; manage progress against goals for self and others while addressing barriers. </li><li>Possesses openness, responsiveness, approachability, and understanding of others' perspectives with the demonstrated ability to maintain and build relationships through collaboration. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to address and resolve team conflict effectively and tactfully. </li><li>Passion for and understanding of City Year's work within the national service movement and education sphere, and a strong connection to the values of servant leadership, belief in the power of young people, social justice, empathy, inclusivity, teamwork and excellence. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office platforms required; experience using SharePoint preferred. </li><li>City Year and AmeriCorps alumni are encouraged to apply. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Full-time employees will be eligible for all benefits including vacation, sick days and organization holidays.
