<p>If you possess a High School Diploma or GED along with three years of experience in general maintenance, you might qualify for the role of Maintenance Worker III with Chatham County Parks and Recreation. Take the next step in your maintenance career by applying today and engaging in a variety of skilled tasks, from construction and repair work to chemical applications, contributing to the upkeep of public areas within the County.</p> <p>Under supervision, you</p> <ul> <li>Perform various semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, construction, drainage, and/or repair work in streets, parks, bridges, or other public areas within the County.  </li><li>Participate in preventive maintenance, emergency repair, and new construction.  </li><li>Perform regular chemical herbicide applications and maintain records of work activities.  </li><li>May also perform specialized maintenance repair work on hand tools.  </li><li>Perform physical labor in varied weather conditions.  </li><li>Must be available to work a five (5) day schedule that may include nights and weekends in emergency situations.  </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED, and  </li><li>At least three (3) years' experience in general maintenance; or  </li><li>Any equivalent combination of training and experience.  </li><li>Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.  </li><li>Must be able to drive a truck with an attached trailer.  </li><li>Must safely operate and maintain related vehicles, tools, and equipment.  </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.  </li><li>Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during regular working hours. </li></ul>
