As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will design, analyze, and check highway bridges.</p> <p>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</p> <ul> <li>Design, evaluate, and check sheets/calculations for highway/railroad/pedestrian bridges/other transportation structures </li><li>Prepare designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and specifications </li><li>Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs </li><li>Perform or check bridge designs using CSi Bridge, MIDAS, VBent, PG Super, LEAP, BRASS, Mathcad, and/or other bridge software </li><li>Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met </li><li>Build a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering </li><li>Structures lead for projects, coordinating staff and design efforts </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>B.S. degree in Civil Engineering </li><li>Registered PE license </li><li>8 to 15+ years of experience </li><li>Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required--<10% </li><li>Must be able to work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients </li><li>Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus </li><li>Established relationships with local clients (DOT) a plus </li><li>Solid understanding of transportation projects </li></ul> <p>Why would a candidate want this job?</p> <p>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
