<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position Description:</p> <p>Builds and maintains Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools and technologies such as Jenkins and Maven. Develops enterprise quality software solutions using agile methodologies. Provides leading software solutions by leveraging financial expertise on Development Enablement for Asset Management technology products. Designs, develops and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and directs software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation. </li><li>Promotes and leads progressive software engineering practices and standards. </li><li>Creates consistency in the technology ecosystem across the Equity Technology Domain while aligning with enterprise and industry standards. </li><li>Maintains a clear strategic roadmap and builds a prioritized product backlog by collaborates with all chapter and product leaders within an Asset Management domain. </li><li>Communicates the roadmap, squad plan, and business proposition across all levels of the business and technology organization. </li><li>Advises senior management on technical strategy. </li><li>Works across groups to identify opportunities for Asset Management initiatives. </li><li>Provides guidance, trains, and coaches to other team members for performance and career development. </li><li>Identifies and plans for future resource needs. </li><li>Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Cloud Engineering (or closely related occupation) building Cloud native middle-tier applications using AWS Cloud technologies -- AWS S3, EC2, EKS, AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, and KMS.</p> <p>Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Cloud Engineering (or closely related occupation) building Cloud native middle-tier applications using AWS Cloud technologies -- AWS S3, EC2, EKS, AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, and KMS.</p> <p>Skills and Knowledge:</p> <p>Candidate must also possess:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") ensuring the reliable and efficient delivery of high-quality software applications that meet business requirements and user needs by building and deploying mission critical SpringBoot, Python, and Angular applications, using Jenkins Core (Kubernetes based CloudBees Product), Maven, Nx, Artifactory, and GitHub in a financial services environment. </li><li>DE developing and deploying robust middle-tier applications that support business operations and enhance user experiences, by building Cloud native middle-tier applications using scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure and technologies (AWS -- S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, and EKS) in a financial services environment. </li><li>DE performing security, monitoring, and performance tuning of databases, Web applications, and Microservices using Datadog and PowerBI; and ensuring High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery Service Level Objective (SLO), and Service Level Agreement (SLA) needs across streaming platforms using Kafka, AWS backup, and ServiceNow. </li><li>DE automating repetitive tasks, streamlining development workflows, and enhancing the efficiency of deployment and maintenance processes, by writing, maintaining, and executing scripts (Groovy, Python, Bash, and TypeScript) in a financial services environment; enabling seamless integration between different systems and services, facilitating data exchanges, and enhancing the functionality of applications through the consumption and development of APIs using Spring REST; and providing clear, comprehensive, and standardized API documentation (aiding developers in understanding and utilizing the APIs effectively) using Swagger or OpenAPI. </li></ul> <p>#PE1M2</p> <p>#LI-DNI</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <p>Category:</p> <p>Information Technology</p> <p>Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
