<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position provides administrative program support to Central Medical Records Department at Dodge Correctional Institution. Duties to include: scanning of paper medical records and documents into the electronic medical record (EMR), shelving, retrieving and filing paper Health Care Records (HCRs), identifying and reviewing the medical records of Persons in our care (PIOCs) actively and/or formerly under the care of DOC for retention or destruction based on the record retention rules, and any further duties as assigned. The LTE shall comply with the Department's administrative rules, agency's policies and procedures, and federal and Wisconsin laws governing health records.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay is $19.10 per hour. The pay schedule/range is 02-09.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.</p> <p>The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow complex procedures regarding management of Health Care Records. </li><li>Ability to use electronic databases and search for information accurately. </li><li>Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access. </li><li>Knowledge of records management confidentiality laws. </li><li>Ability to utilize EMR software, as well as scanning software and hardware. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To apply, click on "Apply for Job" to start the application process.
