Coordinates with stakeholders, allocates resources, drives technical excellence, and creates alignment between business goals and technical solutions to ensure continuous improvement of digital engineering capabilities within the organization.What you will do:Provides leadership and expertise in defining the technical architecture and design principles for digital solutionsOversees and manages digital engineering projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timelineCollaborates with executive leadership to define the digital engineering strategy and roadmap aligned with the organization's goalsEvaluates the relevance and potential impact of new technologies on the organization's digital engineering capabilitiesEstablishes and maintains quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices within digital engineeringDrives innovation initiatives within digital engineering, promoting a culture of creativity, experimentation, and learningEnsures adherence to coding standards, software development methodologies, and testing practices to deliver high-quality digital solutionsContributes to long-term planning, technology adoption strategies, and innovation initiatives to drive digital transformationLeads a team of digital engineers and technical professionals, and provides guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their success and professional growthRequired Qualifications:10+ years of work experience in building large scale distributed systems5+ years of experience in cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure), APIs, microservices, and distributed systems5+ years of experience leading engineering teams (NodeJs, Postgresql, Kafka, GraphQL and Terraform etc.)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in leading search solutions - retrieval of information with high relevancy and low latencyAbility to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervisionExceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and time management abilitiesExperience with optimization skills to improve performance, scalability, and usability of our applicationsExtensive knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimizationExperience with agile development, SAFe AgileEducation:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$144,200.00 - $288,400.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
