<p>Provides direct supervision to a team of caseworker level hotline staff while overseeing multiple hotline functions. Receives and reviews reports of alleged maltreatment and determines the assignment track, disposition and/or if an immediate response is needed. Guides and supports the hotline staff in processing high quality referrals of abuse and neglect. Nurtures and maintains relationships with the community to better enhance and streamlines hotline and Red Team processes in collaboration with the Mid-Day screening team, the Evening screening team, and on-call supervisors.</p> <p>Works Monday through Friday, 10am to 6:30pm.</p> <p>Adams County Children and Family Services Guiding Principles</p> <ul> <li>We believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, valuing their input, and striving to do no harm. </li><li>Honoring all people's unique expertise and perspectives includes collaboration, shared decision making, and providing a safe environment. </li><li>The best interest of children, families, and our community will always inform our approach, perspectives, and decisions. </li><li>Children and youth belong in families and have a right to sibling, family, and community connections. </li><li>Families have the inherent capacity to safely care for their children. </li><li>We hold ourselves and our system accountable to each other, our families, and our community. </li><li>Provides direct supervision of hotline casework staff and co-manage the hotline program </li><li>Responsible in part for facilitation and management of both incoming and outgoing conflict of interest referrals, assessments, and cases. </li><li>Responsible in part for the facilitation and management of outgoing referrals and assessments to other counties. </li><li>Responsible for co-managing entry into the Trails Statewide Database through gathering additional information, screen outs and assignment. </li><li>Responsible for reviewing and prepping referrals for Red Teams, to include initial reviews and straight dispositioning when appropriate. </li><li>Responsible for co-managing entry of referrals into the assignment software and/or any other assignment tool that is utilized to assign referrals to Division staff </li><li>Responsible for specified mandated reporter notifications </li><li>Manages and oversees the Trails Inbox during assigned hours </li><li>Provides weekly supervision and team supervision to ensure an effective workforce. Provides training support and ongoing mentoring for screening staff. </li><li>When necessary, takes referrals of child abuse/neglect from the community received by telephone, via fax, email or mail. Processes referrals through the State Hotline System. Obtains pertinent information as mandated by Volume 7, including dates, names, addresses, and abuse/neglect allegations accurately. Gathers detailed descriptions of the original allegations from the reporting party along with additional questions related to abuse and neglect. </li><li>Nurtures community partnerships to enhance service delivery program development in other related agencies, and the community at large. </li><li>Ability to use various electronic systems including TRAILS, State Hotline, Mango, ROM, and Microsoft programs. </li><li>Participates in the Initial Review process as both a first and secondary reviewer </li><li>Utilizes appropriate systems and reports to review hotline outcomes monthly. </li><li>Performs related duties and responsibilities as required. </li><li>Works Monday through Friday, 10am to 6:30pm. </li><li>Ongoing development and implementation of practices that promote engagement with children and families, community partners, the division, and team. </li><li>Knowledge of human services practices and programs, child welfare practice, and knowledge of successful strategies to prevent unnecessary family disruption and child welfare and juvenile justice system involvement. </li><li>Skilled in problem identification and problem solving. </li><li>Ability to analyze, properly identify, and strategically solve problems using critical thinking and analytical skills. </li><li>Ability to effectively work with others. </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to utilize state, county, and agency management information systems. </li><li>Ability to use data to drive practice decisions. </li><li>Ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. </li><li>Ability to effectively lead, support, develop, and supervise team members. </li><li>Skill to be organized, manage time, engage problem solving techniques, and utilize data. </li></ul> <p>Experience: Four (4) years of full time professional social casework experience acquired after the degree in a public or private social services agency in an area appropriate to the position. </p> <p>Education and Training:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in one of the human behavioral science fields. </li><li>A Bachelor's of Social work may substitute for 1 year of the required experience. </li><li>An MSW may substitute for 2 years of the required experience. </li><li>Proof of education, (degree or transcripts,) and license (if candidate has received one) are required. </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>License or Certificate:</p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible to become a certified supervisor through the State Child Welfare Academy or already be certified. </li><li>Possession of a Colorado Driver's License and proof of automotive insurance. </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check. </p> <p>Other: Must utilize a personal vehicle to get to many appointments in the local community and surrounding areas within Colorado</p>
