All farms utilize state-of-the-art technology and analytics developed by the company's subsidiary, Infinite Acres.</p> <p>80 Acres Farms-branded salads, microgreens, herbs, and tomatoes are available at retailers and food service distributors from Michigan to Florida, including Kroger, Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, Dorothy Lane Markets, Sysco, and US Foods. 80 Acres Farms is supported by world-class investors and partners, including General Atlantic, Siemens, Barclays, Ocado, and Signify Philips.</p> <p>If you're interested in making a difference, join our team and help us change how the world eats.</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW</p> <p>The Logistics Specialist will ensure the smooth execution of inbound and outbound shipments to and from 80 Acres Farms to customers/suppliers/intercompany. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high service levels for outbound and inbound shipments.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating with transportation providers and internal team to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments </li><li>Creating, communicating and following up on the daily/weekly shipments program. Schedule incoming shipments with suppliers/carriers and communicate schedule to the internal shipping/receiving teams </li><li>Complete and distribute daily logistics reports to carriers and internal team </li><li>Solving problems related to the daily logistics operation and supplier management </li><li>Record non-conformances and work on root cause analysis/ corrective actions </li><li>Manage document control for outbound and inbound operation </li><li>Track and distribute KPIs for logistics operation </li><li>Audit and track invoices for logistics' suppliers </li><li>Quote rates with carriers for new business opportunities </li><li>Schedule and ensure execution of non-standard business shipments with best value carrier </li><li>Project based work as needed </li><li>Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain or equivalent experience preferred </li><li>2+ years Logistics experience, preferably in a refrigerated and/or manufacturing environment </li><li>Capable of creating, maintaining excel spreadsheets, written reports and documentation </li><li>Proficient in Power BI and TMS (Transportation Management Systems) </li><li>Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills, </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results </li><li>Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to drive change with a long-term perspective across multiple functions and transform the business. </li><li>Team player, self-motivated, result-oriented </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, including an ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization, technical and non-technical audience. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS WE OFFER YOU</p> <ul> <li>Health, dental, and vision insurance starting day one of employment-- health insurance plans start at just $25/month </li><li>Paid time off based on years of experience (2 weeks average) </li><li>One week paid health & wellness time </li><li>10 paid holidays </li><li>Annual tuition reimbursement </li><li>Parental leave </li><li>401k with up to 4% Company match </li><li>Company-paid life insurance </li><li>Short and long-term disability insurance </li></ul> <p>ABOUT OUR HIRING PRACTICES</p> <p>Statistics show that underrepresented communities don't apply for a job unless they meet 100% of the qualifications.
