<p>The Purchasing Agent II is responsible for purchasing raw materials, services, and supplies, and performing administrative duties.</p> <p>Monday - Friday 7:00AM to 4:00PM</p> <ul> <li>SIGN ON BONUS* </li></ul> <p>$1200 FOR THIS ROLE ONLY.</p> <p>$100 EVERY 30 DAYS YOU WORK UNTIL YOU REACH $1200.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Source and procure all raw materials, MRO, supplies, equipment, and services at the best cost/value </li><li>Create and maintain material specifications </li><li>Provide quote information to internal stakeholders and process Request for Quotation as required </li><li>Qualify new suppliers for products and services </li><li>Evaluate supplier performance on cost, quality and on time delivery </li><li>Implement Long Term Agreements / Negotiate supplier contracts </li><li>Work in tandem with Quality to resolve supplier quality issues </li><li>Forecast material requirements using various inputs from Internal customers and purchase history </li><li>Identify and project manage through implementation cost savings programs </li><li>Review and rectify any discrepancies between purchase order price and invoiced price </li><li>Understand market data to make informed purchasing decisions </li><li>Manage net material performance through cost containment, and cost avoidance strategies </li><li>Manage supplier on-time delivery performance </li><li>Maintain and improve supplier relationships </li><li>Conduct supplier/commodity spend analysis and negotiations to achieve favorable terms </li><li>Ensure material availability and manage inventory effectively </li><li>Manage MRP for assigned product lines/business units </li><li>Working with cross functional teams to improve business practices and support production </li><li>Maintain item-level MRP data, including lead times, pricing, and safety stock levels </li><li>Participating in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods </li><li>Always maintain a clean and safe work environment </li><li>Continuous improvement of job functions to increase efficiency and performance </li><li>Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Three to five years progressively more responsible experience </li><li>Bachelor's Degree or a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that ordinarily acquired by completing a four-year baccalaureate program. </li><li>ERP system experience: SAP Business One preferred </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). </li></ul>
