It's more than a job-it's a chance to inspire, build, and make a difference every day.</p> <p>Why Join CWI?</p> <p>At the College of Western Idaho (CWI), you will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment where problem-solving and innovation are valued, and your contributions directly enhance the efficiency of the institution.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Support Lab Operations and Instruction</p> <ul> <li>Assist instructors during lab sessions to enhance student learning. </li><li>Set up, clean, and maintain lab spaces and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. </li><li>Secure labs and equipment after class use. </li></ul> <p>Maintain and Repair Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade power tools and mechatronics equipment using service manuals. </li><li>Fabricate custom training aids and assist with technical improvements. </li><li>Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and meets instructional needs. </li></ul> <p>Manage Inventory and Procurement</p> <ul> <li>Track and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and materials. </li><li>Purchase supplies and tools within the department's budget. </li><li>Issue equipment and materials to students and instructors as needed. </li></ul> <p>Ensure Safety and Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Safely handle and store hazardous materials; ensure proper disposal. </li><li>Keep MSDS records current for all chemicals and materials used in the lab. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and prepare inventory/work order reports. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in Mechatronics (knowledge and practical experience), 1-2 years of experience preferred </li><li>Working knowledge of inventory methods, materials, and supplies procurement and handling, storing, and shipping methods </li><li>Experience working with MSDS sheets and safety procedures for caustic, flammable, and hazardous products </li><li>Experience using equipment service manuals to troubleshoot and repair or upgrade tools and equipment </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>The physical demands outlined below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
