<p>Part-Time Facility Supervisor</p> <p>City of Bluefield - Parks and Recreation Department</p> <p>Pay Rate: $10/hour</p> <p>Location: Bluefield FitRec, 703 College Ave.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The City of Bluefield Parks and Recreation Department is seeking dependable and proactive individuals to join our team as Part-Time Facility Supervisors. This position is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of recreational facilities during scheduled shifts, with a focus on cleanliness, customer service, and rule enforcement.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the facility and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment </li><li>Enforce facility rules and monitor patron behavior </li><li>Perform routine cleaning tasks including restrooms, floors, windows, and trash removal </li><li>Conduct regular walkthroughs to check for maintenance or safety concerns </li><li>Assist visitors and provide excellent customer service </li><li>Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors about any incidents or concerns </li><li>Open and/or close the facility according to standard operating procedures </li><li>Support events, rentals, or programming as needed </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years or older </li><li>Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled </li><li>Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently </li><li>Strong communication and conflict resolution skills </li><li>Previous experience in customer service, custodial work, or facility supervision is a plus </li><li>Must be dependable and punctual </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work will primarily take place indoors at City-operated recreational facilities, though additional or alternate assignments may be given.</p> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Shifts vary, typically scheduled during evening and weekend hours.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to walk, stand, and interact with guests for long periods </li><li>May be required to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs </li><li>Regularly required to clean, inspect, or move throughout the facility </li><li>Reasonable accommodations can be made for qualified individuals with disabilities </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <p>This job description is not a complete list of duties or responsibilities.
