Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Responsible for the on-going assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of regulatory standards, processes, services and systems directed toward the provision of coordinated quality pediatric trauma care from a multi-disciplinary perspective throughout the continuum of care.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Be the difference.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides clinical expertise and serve as liaison to all sub-specialties and hospital departments for the Pediatric Trauma Program.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitates and coordinates meetings and committees to address the operational and performance improvements activities of the Pediatric Trauma Program.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements and develops policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines to guide the administrative and clinical functions of the Pediatric Trauma Program and Service.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all Pediatric Trauma Center accreditation standards are met as required by designating authority, ACS or DHEC, within the context of the American College of Surgeons Optimal Care Guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the personnel, operations and financial aspects of the Pediatric Trauma Program.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs public relations and public education of the Trauma Center for medical, legislature, visitors and patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Plans, coordinates and participates in the outreach and professional education activities of the Pediatric Trauma Center with referring hospitals, pre-hospital providers, nurses and physicians.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct the activities of the Pediatric Trauma Registry to include data collection, analysis of data, distribution and submission of data to State and National Databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies patients meeting Trauma Registry inclusion criteria per SC Trauma Registry Data Dictionary, NTDB and ACS standards for inclusion into the Trauma Registry.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees the Trauma Performance Improvement Program that identifies patient care systems issues and provides follow up and loop closure.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs the injury prevention activities of the Trauma Center.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education - Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field of study. Master's degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience - Three (3) years of related nursing experience, of which 2 years is pediatric nursing experience.
