<p>Position Description</p> <p>Role Title (Moma Title): Technical Support Engineer</p> <p>Duration: 4 months</p> <p>Work Location: Clarksville, TN - Fully Onsite</p> <p>Work Schedule: Normal Central Time Business Hours, Monday - Friday</p> <p>Project Overview:</p> <p>The goal of this team is reduce / minimize damage and the impact of damage for Data Center hardware. The role involves reviewing issues submitted by Data Center teams, triaging, and solving where possible.</p> <p>Overall Responsibilities:</p> <p>This role is a support engineer position that will manage/triage a ticket queue of quality issues identified in a data center environment:</p> <p>Perform first level investigation of issues submitted to a quality team project queue to ensure proper information is submitted, gather needed information, perform initial analysis, and hand off to senior engineer (or resolve for simpler issues).</p> <p>Complete first level root cause analysis of data center issues and provide recommendations or proposed resolutions based on the investigation.</p> <p>Review fleet data to identify issues associated with deployment/production and then create bugs to hand off to the correct partner teams for resolution.</p> <p>Gather and analyze manufacturing/field data within the data center environment to extract actionable insights and continuous improvement opportunities.</p> <p>Monitor, review and present product performance data and metrics to stakeholders in a concise and clear way that enables data-driven decision making.</p> <p>Review, edit, improve, and create technical documentation (deployment guides, population documents, repairs guides) based on data, investigations, technician feedback, and quality fundamentals.</p> <p>Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, or relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience</p> <p>5+ years of experience working in computing hardware quality, product engineering, test engineering, or electronic hardware systems issue resolution</p> <p>Experience in data analysis and visualization using SQL, JMP, or Python+</p> <p>People skills to work with and influence others</p> <p>Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:</p> <p>Background in troubleshooting / repair of server / storage and networking products</p> <p>Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases</p> <p>Experience working in a hardware development (R&D) lab environment</p> <p>Experience working in a data center environment</p> <p>Skill/Experience/Education</p> <p>Mandatory</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, or relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience </li><li>5+ years of experience working in computing hardware quality, product engineering, test engineering, or electronic hardware systems issue resolution </li><li>Experience in data analysis and visualization using SQL, JMP, or Python+ </li><li>People skills to work with and influence others </li></ul> <p>Desired</p> <ul> <li>Background in troubleshooting / repair of server / storage and networking products </li><li>Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases </li><li>Experience working in a hardware development (R&D) lab environment </li><li>Experience working in a data center environment </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $45++/hr</p> <p>The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
