<p>We are seeking an experienced and passionate part-time Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree, a background in both lecture and lab instruction, and a commitment to providing high-quality education in alignment with the MAERB (Medical Assisting Education Review Board) standards and curriculum. As a Medical Assistant Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching the clinical and administrative aspects of medical assisting, including both theory (lecture) and hands-on practice (lab). You will be guiding students through the essentials of medical office management, clinical procedures, patient care, and medical terminology in accordance with the MAERB curriculum.</p> <p>This is a part-time, hourly position.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach medical assistant courses, including lecture and lab components, in compliance with the MAERB curriculum standards. </li><li>Develop and deliver engaging lectures, lab exercises, and hands-on activities to enhance student learning. </li><li>Evaluate student progress through exams, quizzes, assignments, and practical assessments. </li><li>Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress and performance. </li><li>Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and success. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical assisting practices, trends, and regulatory standards. </li><li>Collaborate with the Director of the program, faculty, and staff to improve and enhance the curriculum and program delivery. </li><li>Ensure all lab and clinical activities adhere to safety protocols and best practices. </li><li>Assist in recruitment, retention and success of students. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum Associate's degree in medical assisting, Health Science or related field </li><li>Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CCMA, CMA, RMA) </li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Registered Nurse with 2 years clinical experience </li><li>Preferred: Minimum 2 years of live teaching experience in Medical Assisting or related field </li><li>In depth knowledge of Medical Assisting procedures, patient care, medical office management </li><li>Familiarity with MAERB standards and accreditation requirements </li><li>Ability to teach both theoretical content and hands-on skills </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for educating and mentoring students </li><li>Must be committed to the courses assigned </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Information:</p> <ul> <li>The courses are offered Fall/Spring 15 week semesters </li><li>Supportive and collaborative work environment </li><li>Courses taught on Passaic Campus </li><li>Experience working with diverse populations preferred </li></ul> <p>Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $35-$50.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year.
