The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional daytime hours, as needed. The number of weekly hours varies depending on the time of the semester and the need.</p> <p>The Safety Education Manager plays a vital role in equipping Rec Well staff and the OU community with the skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations, helping to save lives while ensuring compliance with required workplace certifications.</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Instruct, evaluate, and certify participants in emergency response skills, including CPR, First Aid/AED, Lifeguarding, and water rescue techniques. </li><li>Support the planning, promotion, and delivery of community safety training programs to increase participation and engagement. </li><li>Design and facilitate in-service training sessions to maintain and enhance lifeguard staff skills and readiness. </li><li>Maintain a safe and effective learning environment; monitor attendance and manage certification documentation and records. </li><li>Evaluate participant competency through hands-on skill assessments and written examinations. </li><li>Inspect, maintain, and sanitize training equipment, including mannequins and AED trainers, ensuring readiness and compliance with safety standards. </li><li>Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports participant confidence and skill development. </li></ul> <p>Job Open Date 03/30/2026 Job Close Date 04/15/2026 Open Until Filled Yes</p>
