Plus, a few generous raffles thrown in for good measure.</p> <p>Role Description</p> <p>As a leader in our Equestrian Center team, you are responsible for the care of Employees, Members, Guests, horses, and the facilities within Brasada Ranch Equestrian Club and Brasada Trails. We take great pride in providing the best possible service for ALL our guests, and this includes the horses that our members put their trust in us to care for.</p> <p>In this position, you are responsible for feeding, cleaning stalls/paddocks and keeping the Equestrian Center grounds neat and orderly. You will serve as an assistant to the Equestrian Manager and perform record keeping. You will also assist the Rim Rock Riders Association as appropriate.</p> <p>To be successful in this position, you must love working with different breeds of horses with different temperaments every day. You will demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in horse behavior and maintenance to ensure that each animal is getting the genuine personal care that we promise to our members. Building strong relationships with our members is also extremely important to build trust, establish preferences, and give them the peace of mind that their family member is in the best care possible.</p> <p>The Equestrian Assistant Manager earns $26.00/hour and has a schedule of Tuesday - Saturday. Some evenings, weekends and holidays required.</p> <p>General Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Greet equestrian members and guests with proactive and excellent customer service, give tours of the equestrian center, answer phones, and assists Equestrian Manager with administrative tasks </li><li>Works directly with Equestrian Manager to delegate and supervise current and future projects </li><li>Supervise and perform daily feeding of horses, mucking stalls/paddocks (adding shavings as needed), turning out and bringing in horses, checking horses for cuts or lameness (knowledge of first aid a plus), and blanketing </li><li>Supervise and perform cleaning; washing down the barns, cleaning hay mangers, cleaning automatic waterier and hay/grain/supplement preparation. </li><li>Work one on one with the Members and their horses to provide personalized care and cater to the specific needs of each. Act as a point of contact with all Equestrian members to address any concerns or suggested improvements that they offer </li><li>Supervise all Equestrian Attendants within the department. Ensure that daily checklists are being completed and all Equestrian Club standards are being met </li><li>Assist with the onboarding and training of all new hires in the Equestrian Club department </li><li>Work with Brasada Managers and Equestrian Members to create and elevate Club activities and events along with managing and updating a member newsletter. </li><li>Provide assistance to Equestrian Manager to oversee the Brasada Trails company and ensure that all operations are working in compliance within the written agreement between Brasada Ranch and Brasada Trails </li><li>Drive a small tractor, feed cart, arena groomer, and other related equipment </li><li>Perform basic facilities management for all area of Equestrian Center including barns, fencing, irrigation, office are related </li><li>Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Skills/Traits</p> <ul> <li>Must have at least 2 years' experience in caring for horses; Boarding and member experience preferred </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge, patience and a sense of enjoyment in caring for horses </li><li>Must be a self-starter, work independently with little or no supervision </li><li>Must arrive to work on-time; and be able to work in all weather conditions, year round </li><li>Flexibility to work different hours/days, including holidays and weekends </li><li>Must have a good interpersonal skills </li><li>Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Demonstrate a very high standard of cleanliness </li><li>Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours). </li><li>Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds. </li></ul> <p>If you want to work alongside talented people to deliver extraordinary guest experiences in an awe-inspiring setting, we want to hear from you.
