<p>VISTA Grant Writer</p> <p>Jesse Tree is the Treasure Valley's only eviction and homeless prevention-focused organization working on the front lines of the housing crisis, providing support and emergency rental assistance to low-income neighbors experiencing a temporary financial crisis and eviction. The Grant Writer will conduct the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation, corporate, and government sources, ultimately to raise funds to support Jesse Tree's rental assistance programs. The VISTA will also work directly with other VISTA members to coordinate and facilitate events, identify potential sponsors, and send out donor communications. The VISTA will ultimately improve Jesse Tree's grants program. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : The Grant Writer will increase fundraising to assist the organization in increasing its capacity and reach in the community by applying for annual and new grant funding and asking for donations from members of the community. 1.Assist in developing a grants submission plan with goals and objectives. 2. Conduct the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. 3. Cultivate and maintain a portfolio of corporate and individual contacts to develop commitment to the organization. 4. Set up a process to organize meetings, make proposals, send thank you notes, and follow up with donors periodically. 5.
