All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex/gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ancestry, national origin, marital status, citizenship status (unless required by the applicable law or government contract), disability or protected veteran status or any other status or characteristic protected by law.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Set up and operate an individual manual machine tool or several machine tools organized in a work group or cell.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Receives assignment, drawings, process documents and/or verbal instructions. </li><li>Sets up machines using tools and equipment needed according to standard work instructions and machine requirements. </li><li>Selects feeds and speeds </li><li>Performs work to tolerances indicated, checking own parts to insure compliance with quality requirements. </li><li>Assembles, tests and calibrates fuel injection parts per standard procedure within close tolerances. </li><li>Performs assembly of other components such as piston skirts, liners, camshafts, etc. </li><li>May be required to operate two machines simultaneously or perform other miscellaneous duties such as deburring or checking work during machine cycle. </li><li>Maintains standard work files, fixtures, tooling, etc. Keeps machine clean and performs daily routine maintenance checks. </li><li>Handles medium weigh materials by hand and heavier materials by hoist or crane. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills and Educational Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience/knowledge in setting up/operating manual machine. </li><li>Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc. </li><li>Good understanding of quality control principles. </li><li>Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition. </li><li>High school diploma; Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated. </li><li>Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. </li><li>Ability to work independently w/minimal supervision. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidential information. </li><li>Ability to thrive in a critical thinking environment. </li><li>Excellent time management and organizational skills. </li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving techniques. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills. </li></ul>
