<p>Job Details</p> <p>ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a Part Time Medical Assistant to support the School Based Health Program's Warner Elementary and Shortlidge Academy Schools.</p> <p>The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients and will deliver quality patient care for our students within the DE school district. The Medical Assistant will collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team of Behavioral Health Therapists, Registered Dieticians, Nurse Practitioners, Office Assistants as well as Operational leaders.</p> <p>This is a Part Time position requiring the Medical Assistant to work for 31 hours per week for 39 weeks per year. Flexibility to cross cover other locations per practice needs, required.</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monday- Friday: Day Shift</p> </li><li> <p>No weekends/holidays</p> </li></ul> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides the clinical care necessary within the department, including routine, special needs and emergency.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains appropriate student health records and documents services rendered.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age</p> </li><li> <p>Complies with HIPAA regulations while accessing patient information</p> </li><li> <p>Verifies necessary student/patient forms for provisions of School Based Health Center services.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares patients for clinical visits by opening encounters and recording patient vitals.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs point of care testing, vaccinations, medication administration as per practice needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist clinician with examinations/procedures; chaperoning as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits & Incentives</p> <ul> <li> <p>Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Two retirement planning offerings, including 403(b) with company contributions.</p> </li><li> <p>Generous paid time off with annual roll-over and opportunities to cash out.
