The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a key member of the O&T (Operations & Technology) Finance team, the Finance Manager will own the budgeting/LRP (long range plan), forecasting, expense management, headcount, capital and allocation processes for the News Group O&T department.</p> <p>This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU operations through daily exposure/interaction with O&T operational teams as well as the greater NBCU finance organization. Some of the brands that we support are TODAY, NBC News Now, Nightly News, Meet the Press, etc.</p> <p>Position overview:</p> <ul> <li>Own monthly and quarterly close processes through accurate pacing updates, variance analysis, journal entries, expense accruals, allocations, and other necessary closing activities </li><li>Create/update/maintain operating models for budgeting & tracking of expenses </li><li>Responsible for owning the P&L planning processes for all estimates, budgets, and long-range plans (LRP) for Production operations </li><li>Work with operators on KPIs and other ad hoc modeling </li><li>Perform P&L analysis, i.e. identifying risks and opportunities and assisting in summarizing performance in pitch presentations to senior management for estimates & plans </li><li>Track capital by integrating into operations teams to understand schedule and delivery </li><li>Create reports with metrics for budget and P&L tracking purposes </li><li>Maintain and support build out of various allocations </li><li>Partner with operations teams and participate in regular business meetings, operations analysis, and strategic projects to drive productivity </li><li>Present on-going results to finance leadership & operations </li><li>Process and analyze all the necessary reports in software tools including SAP, BW, Essbase, AOE, SNAP (AP tool), Purchase Manager (PO tool), and Concur (T&E) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications/Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field </li><li>3+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting </li><li>Proven experience of financial modeling, analysis and forecasting </li><li>Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with minimal supervision </li><li>Solid understanding of basic accounting principles: accruals, amortization of pre-paid expenses, P&L, balance sheet, and free cash flow </li><li>Quick learner and team player </li><li>Must be proficient with MS Office Suite products - particularly advanced excel skills (comfortable with v-lookups, if statements, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint </li><li>Must be willing to work in New York </li></ul> <p>This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.</p> <p>This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
