<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Mechanical Production Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining our embroidery machines, heat seal presses, digital printers and laser cutting machines.</p> <p>SCHEDULE:</p> <ul> <li>7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7am - noon) as required. </li></ul> <p>LOCATION:</p> <ul> <li>270 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745 </li></ul> <p>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Repair of Cap Frames & other machine attachments. </li><li>Cleaning and lubrication of embroidery machines. </li><li>Repairs for any production equipment. </li><li>PM on all machinery. </li><li>Daily record keeping of machine tasks performed. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow verbal directions. </li><li>Ability to read instructions in English. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment. </li><li>Ability to perform troubleshooting/problem solving tasks. </li><li>Ability to work with tools and machinery. </li><li>Skill set to learn how to troubleshoot and repair all equipment. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time. </li><li>Repetitive use of hands, fingers and arms. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate fine dexterity skills. </li><li>Ability to move about the facility. </li><li>Ability to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to moderate noise level. </li></ul> <p>VISION REQUIREMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Close and distance vision. </li><li>Vision to be able to thread a needle. </li><li>Color vision. </li></ul> <p>Ahead, LLC is a socially responsible company and an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
