This role ensures that trailers are positioned properly at docks, staging areas, and parking zones in a timely manner to facilitate efficient loading and unloading processes. More specifically, this position will be responsible for activities including but not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Move trailers to and from dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking locations within the yard. </li><li>Ensure proper placement and secure attachment of trailers at loading docks. </li><li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and report any issues. </li><li>Communicate with warehouse personnel and drivers to coordinate trailer movements. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and movements. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. </li><li>Operate yard truck and other equipment safely and efficiently. </li><li>Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to the supervisor. </li><li>Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Years of experience: Three (3) years of experience driving flatbed preferred but, not required</p> <p>Possess a clean driving record</p> <p>Ability to work without constant supervision and be self-motivated</p> <p>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills</p> <p>Possess a high degree of quality workmanship and be detail oriented</p> <p>Proven time management skills with ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines, up to 12-hour day occasionally</p> <p>Observes safety procedures</p> <p>Maintains good work ethic and attendance</p> <p>Travel Frequency, Method and Distance: Up to 0% of the time</p> <p>Work Environment: Working primarily outdoors and occasionally indoors where temperatures could be hot/cold, depending on season. Mandatory PPE for eyes, ears, hands, and feet to prevent exposure to hazardous materials or injury. May be required to work overtime, including weekends.</p> <p>Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds. Standing, reaching, balancing, stretching lower extremities constantly. Frequent grasping, pinching and fine manipulation.
