<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The purpose of the Careers in Education Instructor is to prepare students for instructional or instructional support positions in education, kindergarten through grade twelve. Students study early childhood and adolescence (PK-5; 6-12) development, lesson planning with age-appropriate and grade appropriate learning strategies; learning theories; standards-based curriculum and instructional design, and classroom management techniques. CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching or Vocational Credential for the subject to be taught is required. (Refer to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov for Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credentials). (You must apply for annual waiver while completing University credentialing program of study until CTEL certification or EL equivalent is obtained through clear credential.)
