<p>Audit Supervisor</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Audit Supervisor plays a primary role in all aspects of assurance engagements, from planning to completion. This position provides technical expertise and guidance to the audit and assurance staff. The Audit Supervisor manages and develops staff by assisting in recruiting, evaluating performance, training, and career coaching. Must be able to travel locally and nationally for engagements.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manages multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client and internal deadlines. </li><li>Monitors engagement budgets to identify inefficiencies in the audit process. </li><li>Interacts directly with clients, providing excellent client service by continually building relationships and goodwill with clients. </li><li>Oversees day to day operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, assessment of risk, fieldwork, reporting and concluding. </li><li>Collaborates with Senior Managers and Partners on client issues and makes recommendations for resolution. </li><li>Reviews the work of junior accountants for accuracy and compliance. </li><li>Leads and supervisors a team of junior accountants, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to foster professional growth and development. </li><li>Serves as an instructor in professional development programs. </li><li>Maintains the confidentiality of the firm and its clients. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting </li><li>Valid license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards it </li><li>6+ years of experience in public accounting </li><li>Able to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships </li><li>Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including expertise with US GAAP </li><li>Understanding of principles, practices, methods and theories of auditing standards and accounting standards </li><li>Knowledgeable of laws, ordinances, regulations and statutes which govern audit functions </li><li>Proficient with current accounting software and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel </li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills </li><li>40+ hours of continuing professional education annually </li></ul>
