<p>Our company is looking for a Temporary Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our team.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Complete MDS documentation for Skin Condition (Section M) for all facility residents. </li><li>Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing and other clinical education programs. </li><li>Attend staff meetings, in-service classes, and committee meetings. </li><li>Participate in weekly wound team rounds. </li><li>Establishes competencies for clinicians regarding wound care. </li><li>Collaborates with other members of the Education Department on joint educational initiatives. </li><li>Collaborate amongst Interdisciplinary Team to encompass all aspects of care to promote wound healing. </li><li>Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for each assigned resident. </li><li>Participate in the development and achievement of Wound Care Program and objectives. </li><li>Perform all other duties as requested. </li><li>Communicate in a positive, caring, and helpful manner with residents, family members, and other staff. </li><li>Develops educational modules for wound care to be used for internal and external education, including teaching tools for patients and families. </li><li>Respect the dignity of each person. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly. </li><li>Ability to work and stand 80% of an 8-to-12-hour shift. </li><li>Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required. </li><li>Excellent presentation skills and organizational skills required. </li><li>WCC certification, CWCN, CWOCN or CWS is preferred or certification pending within one year. </li><li>Excellent time management skills. </li><li>Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environment. </li><li>Excellent physical assessment and critical thinking skills. </li><li>Excellent communication skills. </li><li>Confers with the Director of Nursing and/or other licensed nursing personnel regarding dermatologic disorders of residents in the facility. </li><li></li><li>Valid State RN License required. Previous geriatric nursing experience preferred </li><li>Current RN license required. </li></ul>
