<p>AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO) is hiring for a Production Assistant in our Melting Department in Birmingham, AL!</p> <p>The Melting Production Assistant plays a key role in keeping the Melting Department organized, efficient, and running smoothly. This position combines administrative responsibility with direct interaction across multiple departments, including Human Resources, the Works Manager's Office, and various production teams. From managing critical personnel and safety records to preparing production reports and entering timekeeping data in Kronos, the assistant helps ensure compliance, accuracy, and effective communication. They also coordinate incoming material deliveries, weigh trucks, direct them to the correct locations, and serve as a reliable point of contact by phone for the department.</p> <p>Ideal Candidate</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in a foundry or heavy industrial manufacturing environment </li><li>Experience working in high-temperature or molten metal environments </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work safely around large equipment and moving materials </li><li>Reliable and committed to teamwork and safety </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Duties</p> <p>The Melting Production Assistant supports both administrative and operational functions within the Melting Department.
